In order to further excavate the cultural connotation of Nanchang toponymy, promote the excellent toponymy culture of Nanchang, and deeply promote the transformation of the results of the second national census of toponymy, Nanchang Civil Affairs Bureau and Nanchang Geographical Names Archives have organized and compiled the book “Beautiful Nanchang Toponymy in Search of Dreams – A Collection of Nanchang Toponym Stories”. The book collects 88 place names in Nanchang, narrates the origins and meanings of the names in the form of storytelling, and presents Nanchang in the past through the stories behind them. Although some old buildings and historical districts have disappeared, the old place names with rich cultural connotations will never be forgotten and will remain fresh in our memories.
